Many Gifts Received in Good Company!

Green leaf rain dropI can’t think of a better way to spend a drizzly Saturday morning in early spring than to gather with like-minded friends with open hearts and curious minds to learn about and practice mindfulness. We call these monthly gatherings CommunitySHINE, since they build community and offer people a chance to SHINE.

The brilliant meditation teacher Rachel Naomi Remen wrote,

“Perhaps the secret of living well is not in having all the answers
but in pursuing unanswerable questions in good company.”

We were in good company indeed. Sitting in a circle, fifteen of us experienced practices and conversations that connected us more deeply with ourselves and with each other. We shared laughter, tears, and opportunities to experience loving presence.

The feedback from our morning contemplations was very positive. Comments from CommunitySHINE participants included:

  • This work is critical to everyone.
  • I would love to have this weekly.
  • I gained a lot from this experience.

These are some of the words used to describe the workshop:

  • Calming
  • Informative
  • Nurturing
  • Gently wise
  • Inspiring
  • Peaceful

As a mindfulness teacher, it is a joy to share SHINE’s mindful awareness practices which can make such a difference in people’s lives. I am grateful and honored to be able to do this work.

Our next workshop called STOP: Powerful Pauses that Transform is scheduled for Saturday April 26th. We hope you’ll join us!
