Aligning Being and Doing

Before jumping into, “What do I need to DO today?” you might like to begin with a practice of inquiry around the question, “How do I want to BE today? How do I want to show up, for myself and others?” Taking a few moments to connect with your purpose from a sincere place of deep intention aligns you what is truly important in your life. In this way, your doing flows more naturally from your being.

Your Distractible Mind

It’s so easy to compare and judge, thinking that YOUR mind is the least focused one around. You know – forgetting words, losing things, wondering why you’ve just gone upstairs, jumping from thought to thought. A question I hear in EVERY SHINE session is, “How can I keep my mind from wandering?”
Here’s how we teach this in SHINE, using awareness of the breath as the anchor for attention.
