Breathing Easy

We rarely pay our breath much attention as we move throughout each day. With mindfulness practice, we return our awareness . . . again and again . . . to the breath. The most important thing one SHINE participant learned recently was “that my breath is very helpful when I want to relax.”

Your Distractible Mind

It’s so easy to compare and judge, thinking that YOUR mind is the least focused one around. You know – forgetting words, losing things, wondering why you’ve just gone upstairs, jumping from thought to thought. A question I hear in EVERY SHINE session is, “How can I keep my mind from wandering?”
