Pausing to Respond to Life’s Challenges

This pause reconnected him with what was really important, and gave him the space to consider what he wanted to do with the strong feelings within.

We each have that capacity. We can learn to STOP, take a breath, open and observe what is happening with our thoughts and feelings, consider the impact of our actions, and then choose how best to respond.

Breathing Together, In Silence

By bringing an open awareness, curious attention and non-judgmental intention, we can witness some of the ten thousand joys and ten thousand sorrows that make up our lives. With practice we can bring greater equanimity to this passing parade of thoughts, feelings, memories, plans, worries and joys. This helps us live more fully, and remain balanced in the face of life’s challenges.
